A Beechcraft King Air B200 was converted from four-blade to five-blade propellers. The conversion raised vibration levels on the left-hand side of the fuselage and through the inboard wing section between the engine and the fuselage.

The higher vibration brought on fatigue damage in that area. Cracking had run through the wing ribs and their webs, and on into the upper frame angle above them.

This record covers the ribs and webs, which were opened up and dealt with first: the affected sections were removed and replaced to eliminate the cracking. The upper frame angle was replaced afterwards and is recorded separately.
